What is Profhilo?
Profhilo is a very popular advanced injectable anti-ageing treatment. This treatment increases skin hydration and improves skin firmness, resulting in healthier and smoother skin. This highly effective treatment is given by injecting a stabilised form of hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring substance found in the skin. This results in increased hydration in the skin and remodelling of sagging skin. Profhilo has one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acids on the market.
This treatment is effective to treat dull, dehydrated, crepey skin and those with mild skin laxity on the face, the neck and décolletage.
What to expect
So you can achieve the best results possible, it is essential that you have the two treatments spaced four-week apart in. You will see the best possible outcome after your second treatment. At this stage, elastin and collagen production is increased, making the skin look firmer. The treatment effect tends to last between 6-9 months.
During the treatment, Profhilo will be injected superficially intp the skin using a fine needle. Profhilo is injected into five specific points of the face or neck (depending on the treatment area). Once the product has been injected, it will distribute itself throughout the area treated.
A topical anaesthetic (numbing cream) can be applied prior to treatment to make the procedure as comfortable as possible.

Recovery Time
Mild swelling and redness at the injection sites, which tend to resolve within 1-2 days. Bruising is a rare possibility. If bruising occurs, it can take 2-3 weeks to clear away.

Results
The effects of the Profhilo treatment last between 4-6 months after your second treatment. To maintain the results it is recommended that you schedule a repeat appointment every 9-12 months.
You will not see the results immediately after treatment, best results 4 weeks after 2 treatments.
